What is Starting Point?

Starting Point is a conversational environment where people can explore faith and experience community. Starting Point groups are a safe place for people with questions about faith, as well as those who want to learn about the Bible and Christianity. Groups meet for about 10 weeks and together explore the grand story of the Bible. One of the goals of Starting Point is to help participants find their places in the story.

Who is it for?

Seekers - those who are curious about God, Jesus, the Bible, or Christianity
Starters - those who have just begun a relationship with Jesus Christ
Returners - those who have some church experience, but have been away for a while

What is the size of a typical group?

Starting Point groups are typically no more than fifteen people. This includes about ten to twelve participants and two to four discussion leaders.

When and where do groups meet?

The entire Starting Point experience is ten weeks. Each group meeting lasts about seventy five minutes. The groups meet on Sundays after first service at 11 a.m. and after second service at 1 p.m..

How do I join?

We will have Starting Point orientations throughout the year. At the orientation, you will hear all about Starting Point, be able to ask questions, have an opportunity to sign up for a group, and find out where to purchase your materials. Dates and times will be shared at the end of each orientation. There is no commitment when you come to the orientation; just show up to find out more! Orientations typically last about 20 minutes.

What if I have more questions … can I email someone?
